According to sources, a mere 105 shopkeepers and retailers have registered with the ‘Tajir Dost App’ launched by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
With the voluntary compliance deadline set for April 30, 2024, the FBR is now considering enforcement action to ensure broader participation.
Naeem Mir, chairman of the Supreme Council of All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran, stressed the importance of collaboration between the FBR and traders’ associations to boost registration numbers. He emphasized that the success of the scheme hinges on concerted efforts from both sides.
