Cotton Rates Hold Steady as Business Slows in Sindh and Punjab
Business activity in the local cotton market witnessed a sluggish trend on Wednesday, with trading volume notably subdued. According to Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman, cotton prices in both Sindh and Punjab regions ranged between Rs 20,000 to Rs 22,000 per maund. Meanwhile, phutti prices in Punjab were observed to be in the range of Rs 9,500 to Rs 10,000 per 40 kg. Approximately, 800 bales of Sadiqabad were transacted at Rs 22,000 per maund. Despite the lackluster trading, the Spot Rate for cotton remained stable at Rs 21,500 per maund, while Polyester Fiber was available at Rs 367 per kg.
