KARACHI: After a dip in the previous session, gold prices in Pakistan rose on Monday, mirroring gains in international markets. The price of gold per tola increased by Rs700, reaching Rs283,700, while 10-gram gold saw a rise of Rs600, now priced at Rs243,227, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Saturday, gold had experienced a decline of Rs1,700 per tola, settling at Rs283,000. Internationally, gold prices climbed on Monday, with the rate per ounce at $2,735, including a $20 premium, up by $7 on the day.
In contrast, silver prices remained steady in Pakistan, holding at Rs3,430 per tola. Last month, gold reached an all-time high of Rs287,900 per tola, reflecting the ongoing volatility as investors watch economic developments closely, including the U.S. presidential election and potential rate adjustments by the Federal Reserve.
