Gold prices in Pakistan maintained their upward trajectory on Friday, reaching a new high despite a drop in international rates. The price of gold per tola increased by Rs200, bringing it to Rs262,000 in the local market.
Similarly, the price for 10-gram gold rose by Rs172, settling at Rs224,623, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This follows Thursday’s increase when gold prices rose by Rs800, reaching Rs261,800 per tola.
Contrarily, the international gold rate fell on Friday, with the price per ounce dropping by $12 to $2,492 (including a $20 premium), according to APGJSA.
