Gold Prices Drop by Rs5,500 per Tola in Pakistan Amid Global Decline

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant drop on Thursday, aligning with global trends. In the local market, the price per tola fell by Rs5,500, settling at Rs266,400. Additionally, the 10-gram gold rate declined by Rs4,716, now at Rs228,395, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). This shift follows a recent rise of Rs1,400 per tola on Wednesday, where prices reached Rs271,900.

On the international front, gold rates dropped to $2,552 per ounce, reflecting a $55 decline during the day. Silver prices, however, remained steady at Rs3,250 per tola. Last month, gold prices in Pakistan reached a record high of Rs287,900 per tola.
