After experiencing gains over the past three sessions, gold prices in Pakistan fell on Wednesday, mirroring a decline in international markets. The price of gold per tola in the local market dropped by Rs300, settling at Rs267,700.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs257, reaching Rs229,510, according to figures provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Monday, gold prices rose by Rs1,700 to reach Rs268,000 per tola. Notably, gold markets were closed on Tuesday due to the Eid Milad-un-Nabi holiday.
Globally, the price of gold also fell on Wednesday, with APGJSA reporting it at $2,569 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a daily decline of $18.
Silver prices, however, remained steady at Rs2,950 per tola.
On Monday, gold prices in Pakistan had reached a record high of Rs268,000 per tola.
