Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Tuesday, following an increase in the international market, after remaining steady in the previous session. The price per tola of gold reached Rs257,700, reflecting an increase of Rs1,200.
The price for 10 grams of gold also saw an uptick, rising by Rs1,029 to Rs220,936, according to the rates provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Monday, the gold price had remained unchanged at Rs256,500 per tola.
The international gold rate also saw an increase on Tuesday. According to APGJSA, the price reached $2,458 per ounce (including a $20 premium) after gaining $19 during the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs2,850 per tola.
Last month, the gold price per tola surged by Rs2,400, reaching an all-time high of Rs257,300.
