After a rise in the previous session, gold prices in Pakistan fell on Thursday, following a decrease in international rates. In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs300, settling at Rs257,400.
The price for 10 grams of gold also saw a decrease, falling by Rs256 to Rs220,680, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Tuesday, the price of gold had increased by Rs1,200 per tola. The gold market was closed on Wednesday due to the Independence Day holiday.
Internationally, gold prices declined on Thursday. According to the APGJSA, the global rate was $2,454 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $4 decrease during the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady at Rs2,850 per tola.
