China to Dispatch High-Level Delegation to Pakistan Soon: PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Tuesday that a high-level Chinese delegation will soon be visiting Pakistan. He made this announcement during a federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad, following his recent visit to China, which he described as highly successful.

During his visit, PM Shehbaz engaged with the Chinese ambassador at a banquet hosted by the Communist Party Secretary in Shanxi province, expressing confidence in the positive outcomes of the trip. He extended gratitude to his cabinet members and federal secretaries for their collaborative efforts in making the visit a success.

PM Shehbaz also elaborated on discussions regarding the forthcoming second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which he asserted would deepen bilateral relations.

His statement follows a five-day trip to China, during which he met with key executives from Chinese firms in sectors such as oil and gas, energy, and technology. Additionally, he held a productive meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, reaffirming their commitment to the high-quality development and timely completion of major CPEC projects. PM Shehbaz briefed President Xi on Pakistan’s economic policies and the significant role of CPEC in the country’s progress.
