Gold Prices Reach Record Highs

KARACHI: Gold prices both locally and internationally reached new record levels on Saturday, with global bullion prices surpassing $2,500 per ounce, according to traders.

The weekend trading session closed with gold hitting unprecedented highs of Rs260,200 per tola and Rs223,080 per 10 grams, marking an increase of Rs2,500 and Rs2,144, respectively.

On the international market, the price of gold surged by $46 to a new high of $2,507 per ounce, with an additional growth of $29 per ounce, traders reported.

In the domestic market, silver also saw a price increase, rising by Rs50 to Rs2,950 per tola and by Rs42.86 to Rs2,529.14 per 10 grams, traders added.
