Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend on Wednesday, following a decline in international rates. The price of gold per tola decreased by Rs500, bringing it to Rs255,500 in the local market.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of gold for a 10-gram unit dropped by Rs429, reaching Rs219,050. This decline follows a similar Rs500 decrease on Tuesday.
Internationally, gold prices also fell on Wednesday, with the global rate dropping to $2,393 per ounce (including a $20 premium), a loss of $17 during the day.
In contrast, silver prices remained stable at Rs2,850 per tola. Last week, gold prices had surged by Rs2,400, hitting a record high of Rs257,300 per tola.
