After reaching a record high in the previous session, gold prices in Pakistan declined on Friday, mirroring a drop in international rates. In the local market, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs3,000, settling at Rs251,000.
The price for 10-gram gold also decreased, selling at Rs215,192 after a reduction of Rs2,572, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Thursday, the price of gold per tola had surged by Rs4,600, reaching an all-time high of Rs254,000 in the local market.
Internationally, the gold rate fell on Friday. According to APGJSA, the price was $2,415 per ounce (with a $20 premium) after a $55 drop during the day.
Additionally, silver prices also fell by Rs50, bringing the rate to Rs2,850 per tola.
