Local Market Sees an Uptick
Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Monday, reflecting a similar trend in the international market. The price of gold per tola increased by Rs500, reaching Rs242,000 in the local market, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). The price of 10 grams of gold also saw an increase of Rs429, bringing the total to Rs207,476.
Recovery Following Previous Decline
This increase comes after a decline in gold prices on Saturday, when the price per tola dropped by Rs1,400 to Rs241,500.
International Market Influence
The international gold rate also saw an increase on Monday. According to APGJSA, the price was $2,328 per ounce, which included a $20 premium and represented an $8 rise during the day.
Stability in Silver Prices
Silver prices remained unchanged, holding steady at Rs2,850 per tola.
Historical Context
In April, gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola in the local market.
