Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Monday, reaching a new record of Rs282,300 per tola, an increase of Rs500 from the previous rate. This rise follows the global surge in gold prices, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs429, reaching Rs242,027. This follows Saturday’s increase of Rs900, which brought the gold price to a previous record high of Rs281,800.

On the international market, gold also experienced gains, with prices increasing by $5, reaching $2,726 per ounce, including a premium of $20, according to APGJSA.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady at Rs3,150 per tola. Globally, gold continues to soar, driven by economic uncertainty, ongoing Middle East tensions, and central bank rate cuts, with silver nearing a 12-year high. Gold is traditionally viewed as a safe investment during times of political and economic instability.
