Gold prices in Pakistan dropped on Wednesday, mirroring the downward trend in international markets. The price of gold per tola fell by Rs3,000, bringing it to Rs271,700 in the local market. Additionally, the price for 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs2,572, settling at Rs232,939, according to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On the previous day, the price of gold had decreased by Rs1,000, closing at Rs274,700 per tola. Internationally, gold prices also saw a decline on Wednesday, with rates recorded at $2,617 per ounce, which included a $20 premium, showing a drop of $30 during the day.
In contrast, silver prices remained unchanged, holding steady at Rs3,050 per tola. Last month, gold prices had reached a record high of Rs277,000 per tola in the local market.
